Get naked tooooo

Eeeeeeeeeeek. This is an extremely exciting blog post!!
I have been wanting to get The Urban Decay Naked Palette for like, well ever. And for some odd reason I never purchased it. I've seen countless YT videos of girls practically worshipping it... hahaa LBVS. It basically has it's own cult following.
So I think in November I hear about Urban Decay coming out with a Naked 2 Palette........wha??? I HAD to jump on it lol I definitely did not want to be left out of this one. Since Christmas was coming up, I decided to ask my mom for it for Christmas.... score. OF COURSE, as soon as the palette was released  on the UD website (December 1st I believe), it sold out within the hour. I wasn't shocked at all. I thought it would be a wise idea to sign up for the mailing list so that I would be notified when it came back in stock. They emailed me once, but I forgot to check my email and I was too late. I was super bummed. Sooo I was determined to make sure an keep an eye on my emails so I could order it as soon as is was back. It was a Monday morning, I had my phone in my hand, I got an email.... low and behold it was from Urban Decay :) I was beyond excited.. I think I actually jumped outta my seat haha.
I ordered it in like less than 3 minutes, no joke.

*P.S. Props to Urban Decay for their incredibly fast shipping!!! I received my palette in exactly a week.. and did I mention it was FREE SHIPPING?!? <3
GORGEOUS. That pretty much sums this palette up. It has a wide range of taupe-y shades that I absolutely adore. I love that this palette has a matte cream shade and a matte black shade. I use a cream matte color as my brow bone highlight EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't like shimmery brow bone highlights at all. And I don't have a completely 100% matte black color in my collection. I love how The Naked 2 has a lot of lighter shades, making it easy to come up with different natural eye looks for everyday wear..but you also get a couple deep shades (i.e. Busted, Blackout) to create a dramatic, smokey going out eye. Very versatile! This palette comes with a nice dual ended brush...I love the small shader end for packing color on the tear duct and inner half of my eye. The crease end is a bit stiff, but I use it to place color in the crease and then blend it out with a more fluffy crease brush. I also received a precious baby Lip Junkie in the color Naked and a travel sized 24-7 Glide On Eye Pencil in MildewI am completely in love with every single shade in this palettle, but a few of my favorite stand-out colors are: Bootycall, Tease, Verve, YDK, and Busted

Fotd!

Perfect look for Valentine's Day! <3
On my nails: Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Teal-y Fast

Here's How I did the eyes:

Start off by priming your eyelids, any primer will do.
Next apply a cream base of your choice. I used
MAC's Bare Study Paint Pot.
The NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt is an awesome alternative.
Then apply a shimmery champagne color to the inner half of your eyelid and tear duct..my favorite is Merle Norman's eye shadow in Vanilla Mousse (see swatches above). Taking the Knock On Wood trio, pack on the lightest shade, labeled "brow bone" to the outer half. Take any fluffy crease brush you have pick up the shade labeled "eyelid" and softly blend into your crease. Then take a tapered crease brush and dip it into the darkest shade of the palette, labeled "crease" and create a V in the outer corner. Blend slightly into the crease.
To transition your crease color to the brow bone, use the Vanity palette and take the medium brown shade with that same fluffy crease brush you used earlier and blend over the edges. Lastly, use the matte cream color from the same palette under the brow as a highlight.
For eyeliner you don't want to use anything too harsh. I opted for a creme liner and instead of black, I used a deep purple. Merle Norman's Creme Eyeliner in Aubergine is amazing. No wing..just smudge it as close to your lash line as you can. Line your upper waterline (you can line the lower waterline if you want, I chose not to). Curl your lashes, apply two coats of your favorite mascara
and your eyes are complete!
For cheeks/lips use light pinks,
and make sure your skin is glowing :)
